Update: Exams

Picture from WeHeartIt
Hello everyone, and Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. It feels like forever since I sat down and wrote a blog post and to be honest, it has. So today I thought I would give you a little update of why I have been absent from my blog and about the next couple of months.
On May 12th my GCSE exams start, which is 3 weeks tomorrow. This has meant that revising for them has been my main priority and will be until they are over in the middle of June, and having 19 exams in total means there is a lot of revision to do and these are quite important exams. So recently there has not been a lot of time for blogging and when I do sit down in the evenings to relax my brain is too tired to begin to think of/write a blog post, so that is why I have not been posting and have been rather absent.
Of course after they have finished I have 12 weeks of summer holidays in which blog posts should be more frequent, but for now blog posts may be few and far between and I apologise for this in advance but, of course, I can't really help it.

March Favourites 2014

Hello everyone, I hope you had a fantastic March, where did it go?! Anyway the beginning of the month means that it is favourites time again.

Real Techniques Blush Brush

It is no secret that Real Techniques brushes are amazing and are of very high quality, considering how inexpensive they are. I picked this brush up at the end of February and have used it every time I have worn blush and I have also used it for applying powder even though that is not what it is technically for, as I think it is the perfect size for both. I'm not going to go into too much detail as I am planning to do a full review on it soon, but lets just say I have definitely used this a lot this month.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

This has been one of favourite brushes since I bought it back in August, but this month I have been reaching for it even more than normal to apply foundation and blending in concealer. I always find that it leaves my skin looking flawless and always blends all of my makeup perfectly so that it doesn't even look like I'm wearing it, which is the look I prefer.

MAC 217 Blending Brush

Another brush that I have reached for a lot this month, the MAC 217 brush, and it has to be because it is such an all round eyeshadow brush. Although I mainly use it as a crease brush, it is also very good for applying eye shadow to the lid and the brow bone and also blending all of my eyeshadows together so there are no harsh lines and makes applying eyeshadow a lot easier.

MAC In Extreme Dimension Lash

When I got this mascara in September I loved it and used it non-stop but then I found it a bit clumpy after quite a few uses and I think that this is because of the mascara wand design. Recently I thought I would try it again and I really got back into it. It makes my lashes look full, and even longer than they naturally are and it doesn't smudge or fall out throughout the day.

Rimmel Vinyl Lip Gloss in Take a Chance

I have had this lip gloss for quite a while and have always loved it. However up until the beginning of March I had thought that I had lost it but it was actually in one of my handbags (yes, I am one of those people who have about 10 lip products in their handbags at the same time), so when I found it again I started using it all of the time. I am very picky with lip glosses as I can't deal with really sticky ones as who wants it to feel like glue on your lips. This one is definitely not sticky and just glides onto the lips with ease. The colour is also perfect, and as a girl who wears a lot of nude lip looks this is the perfect lip gloss for me.

Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lip Gloss

This particular lip gloss is not one I would usually pick out for myself because I very rarely buy brightly coloured lip products, however when I received this as a gift for my birthday back in September I was keen to see what it would look like. I was pleasantly surprised as the colour was a really subtle coral colour which I didn't think was too overwhelming on me. I also like pairing this with a more neutral lip product, like the Rimmel one above to make it even more subtle for more of a 'no makeup' makeup day.

Benefit Gimme Brow

I did a full review of this product here if you want a more in-depth review of this product, but I will briefly tell you why I love it. It makes my brows look fuller and more defined in just a few strokes of it's teeny-tiny brush and has made the chore that is my brows much more bearable and easier.

MAC Eye Shadow in Nylon

This eye shadow was actually my very first MAC eyeshadow and ever since I got it, it has been one of my favourite eye shadows that I own. I have used this product a lot this month for a highlighter, mainly on my brow bone and on the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up a bit and I have really like the way it has looked.

What have you been loving recently?
